His Majesty King Letsie III arrived at the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) headquarters in Rome, Italy, where he was warmly received by the FAO Director-General, Dr Qu Dongyu.
During the visit, the FAO reaffirmed its commitment to support the Kingdom of Lesotho through its Special Programme for Accelerated Agri-Food Systems Transformation, an initiative designed to strengthen food security, enhance agricultural productivity, and promote sustainable rural development in Lesotho.
His Majesty, who serves as the FAO Special Ambassador for Nutrition, expressed appreciation for FAO’s continued partnership and the organisation’s role in advancing Lesotho’s national efforts towards achieving sustainable and resilient food systems.
