Training on sign language in Central Region

Asmara, 29 April 2026- The National Association of Hearing Impaired branch in the Central Region has provided training on sign language for workers from various institutions in the region.

At the concluding event of the training on 28 April, Mr. Daniel Gebremariam, head of the association branch, said that the objective of the training was to enable the citizens with hearing impairment receive social services they need at social service provision institutions. He also called on the trainees to apply the knowledge they gained from the training in the support of the disabled citizens.

Noting on the significance of the training, the trainees expressed readiness to apply the knowledge they gained from the training at their work place in facilitating services for the hearing impaired citizens.
