New Ol-Kalou modern market opened

The newly completed Ol-Kalou modern market in Nyandarua County has been officially handed over to local traders.

Local leaders, including Nyandarua Woman Representative Faith Gitau and Director for Presidential Delivery Unit Gakuru Muchiri officially handed over the completed market facility to traders.

The modernised space replaces a previous open-air market ground, providing clean, weather-protected trading areas designed to end muddy and difficult conditions for vegetable and wholesale vendors.

The county and national governments have also been advancing other local economic projects in the area, such as the Mirangine ESP Market in Ol Kalou Constituency.

This marked a significant transformation of a market that had previously been in a pathetic state.

The new facility provides a much-improved trading space, offering better conditions for business and a more dignified environment for our traders.
