Assab, 21 October 2025 – The Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare branch in the Southern Red Sea Region has rehabilitated disadvantaged families with material support worth 600,000 Nakfa.
Mr. Tesfamariam Berhe, head of the branch office, said that during the rehabilitation program conducted in three sub-zones of the region, 60 disadvantaged families became beneficiaries.
Noting that identifying and supporting disadvantaged families is one of the main activities of the Ministry, Mr. Tesfamariam said the beneficiaries were provided with livestock, small-scale trade materials, and other support items.
He also urged the beneficiary families to make proper use of the assistance provided to improve their livelihoods.
