Thousands of residents converged on Kyawama Secondary School in Solwezi District to welcome Republican President Hakainde Hichilema, who is on a two‑day working visit to North‑Western Province.

The gathering drew people from across Solwezi and surrounding areas, with security personnel and organisers ensuring order as the Head of State prepared to address the crowd. The visit forms part of his ongoing engagements with communities and inspection of development projects in the province.

Later in Mwinilunga, President Hichilema thanked citizens for their large turnout and pledged continued delivery of services anchored on love and care for the people. He said the enthusiastic reception at Kaunda Square earlier in the day reflected the public’s confidence in the New Dawn Administration.

The President underscored road infrastructure as a priority, noting that government remains committed to strengthening economic fundamentals. He acknowledged progress made so far but stressed that more work lies ahead, urging citizens to renew their mandate in next month’s election.

“Together, we shall continue building a better Zambia for all, unlike the past when citizens lived in fear simply for wearing a red T‑shirt,” he said.

President Hichilema called on voters to safeguard the gains achieved under his leadership by supporting the United Party for National Development (UPND) in the forthcoming polls.
