UPND Achievements Evident for All to See- President Hichilema

President Hakainde Hichilema says those willing to see, can attest to the many developmental milestones achieved by the UPND administration since taking office.

Speaking when he addressed large crowds in Kalomo’s Dundumwezi constituency, Kazungula, and Livingstone today, President Hichilema told supporters that leadership is not a casual undertaking but a responsibility rooted in love for the people, selfless service, and proven capability.

He urged citizens to scrutinise leaders seeking public office and reject recycled politicians with nothing to offer. He said those who failed to deliver in the past should step aside to allow the country to move forward.

President Hichilema said his administration has created over one million jobs in the four years and eleven months in office.

He assured citizens that more jobs will follow, acknowledging that while progress has been made, the work of transformation continues.

In Kazungula, Mr. Hichilema called on residents to take pride in producing a Head of State, describing the area as his home because his farm is located there. He confirmed that the long-awaited Sesheke–Livingstone Road is now under rehabilitation, with contractors already on site.

In Livingstone, the President expressed gratitude for the city’s unwavering support and outlined plans to transform it through the construction of a new Victoria Falls bridge with dedicated road and rail infrastructure to modernise the transport corridor and boost trade.

President Hichilema also spoke about government’s ambitious target of five million tourist arrivals, positioning tourism as the facilitator of job creation and economic growth.

Closing his tour, Mr. Hichilema urged citizens nationwide to unite behind the UPND and secure a decisive victory in the 2026 general elections.

“Every supporter must act as a campaign manager, taking the message of development and unity to every corner of the nation,” he said.
