Badr Airlines starts commercial flight
Asmara, 26 May 2026 – Badr Airlines has started a new commercial flight to and from Asmara.
The ceremony, organized at Asmara International Airport, was attended by Mr. Paulos Kahsai, Director General of Civil Aviation of Eritrea; Mr. Abubaker Al Siddig, Director General of Sudan Civil Aviation; Mr. Usama Ahmed, Ambassador of the Republic of Sudan to Eritrea; Mr. Isa Ahmed Isa, Eritrea’s Ambassador to Sudan; as well as Mr. Tarig Ahmed, Chief Financial Officer of Badr Airlines.

Mr. Paulos Kahsai said that the launching of Badr Airlines’ commercial flight from Port Sudan to Asmara and beyond will create an additional option for passengers traveling to African and Middle Eastern countries.
Ambassador Usama Ahmed, Mr. Abubaker Al Siddig, and Mr. Tarig Ahmed, on their part, said that the start of Badr Airlines’ commercial flight will make a significant contribution to further strengthening the friendly relations between the peoples of Sudan and Eritrea.
The airline will provide travel services seven days a week to and from Eritrea, connecting passengers to African and Middle Eastern countries.
