Eritrea Participates at International Forums
Asmara, 11 June 2026 – Eritrea participated in international forums, including the African Commemoration Day and the 63rd anniversary of the establishment of the African Union, as well as the first Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum.
At the African Commemoration Day and the 63rd anniversary of the establishment of the African Union, held in Doha, Qatar, Eritrea was represented by Mr. Ali Ibrahim, Eritrea’s Ambassador to Qatar.
At the event, a pavilion reflecting the history and cultural heritage of Eritrea, the living standards and traditions of the Eritrean people, and the unity in diversity of Eritrea’s ethnic groups was staged. A video presentation focusing on tourism opportunities in Eritrea was also presented.
Visitors to the pavilion commended the presentations and expressed their eagerness to learn more about the culture and history of Eritrea.
In the same vein, Eritrea’s Ambassador to the Russian Federation, Mr. Petros Tsgay, participated at the Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum, which was convened in Moscow from 3 to 6 June.
On the sidelines of the conference, Ambassador Petros also conducted bilateral meetings with various institutions and companies.
The conference, which was held under the auspices of President Vladimir Putin and brought together about 24 thousand participants from 144 countries, as well as trade and economic institutions, focused on the global economy and cooperation, social life in the technological era, future prospects of technology, as well as environment and public administration.
