Kaimosi University strengthens ethical research capacity through Bioethics training
Kaimosi University has reinforced its commitment to addressing societal needs through responsible research following the successful completion of a three-day training programme on Research Ethics and Bioethics.
The training equipped researchers, students and academic staff with critical knowledge and skills on ethical research practices, human dignity, informed consent and the responsible use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in research.
It was aimed at enhancing ethical standards in research and innovation while ensuring that studies involving human participants are conducted with integrity and respect for fundamental rights.
Kaimosi University Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Professor Thomas Kiprugat noted that the training has strengthened efforts to promote responsible research and foster a culture of ethical conduct among researchers, students and academic staff.
He expressed optimism that the programme would contribute to the development of a strong ethical framework for research and innovation, enabling scholars to generate solutions that address societal challenges while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and accountability.
The training forms part of the university’s broader strategy to enhance research excellence and ensure that innovation contributes positively to society.
