PS Mbaika warns the youth against being misused by politicians
The Principal Secretary State Department for Aviation and Aerospace Development Teresia Mbaika has warned the youth in Makueni County against being used by politicians to disrupt their opponent’s meetings.
Instead Mbaika urged the youths to exercise tolerance and avoid being used as goons where some politicians are trying to gain political mileage by using unothordox means.
The PS said this during a public engagement with members of the public from Kaiti Constituency at Kyuasini Market in Makueni Subcounty on Thursday.
“I ask the youths not to be lured by politicians to be used as goons. That is unacceptable,” said Mbaika during the public engagement with members of the public on development matters.
“I appeal to politicians instead to ensure they make initiatives that are important towards improving access to education besides creating opportunities for our youth that will uplift their lives and combat poverty,” she stated.
During the public engagement, the PS reminded the residents the meaningful development the national government has initiated that includes tarmacking of Kyambeke-Kyuasini-Ukia road, allocation of five acres to construction of tution block at Kilungu Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) and hostels and establishment of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET).
“It is a joy to witness development initiatives taking shape through the support of President William Ruto. This includes the tarmacking of Kyambeje-Kyuasini-Ukia road at Sh1.4 billion. Construction of hostels at Kilungu KMTC and TVET at Kilungu,” she posed.
Mbaika reiterated her intention of vying for the Kaiti Member of the National Assembly seat in the forthcoming elections scheduled for 10th August, 2027 and she committed to champion inclusive development and better opportunities for the residents of Kaiti Constituency.
