THE GOVERNMENT CONVENED WITH ALL STAKEHOLDERS TO REVIEW THE BIODIVERSITY BILL TO SUPPORT THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE ACCESS AND SHARING PROJECT.

The Ministry of Environment and Forestry in collaboration with UNDP Lesotho convened with the Natural Resources, Tourism and Land Cluster Portfolio Committee for a strategic workshop on Access and Benefit Sharing (ABS) from 12–13 August 2026.

The workshop is strengthening understanding of the Nagoya Protocol, the Access to Benefits Sharing Project and the legal and policy measures needed to support biodiversity governance in Lesotho, including the Biodiversity Bill.
