The Tourism Fund has reaffirmed its commitment to promoting sustainable tourism, developing tourism infrastructure and strengthening skills in Kenya’s tourism and hospitality sector ahead of this year’s Mashujaa Day celebrations.

The Fund is showcasing its programmes and interventions during the Mashujaa Day Thematic Week at The Eldoret National Polytechnic in Uasin Gishu County, highlighting its role in financing tourism development products and services, building capacity and supporting sector sustainability.

The exhibition forms part of the national activities leading up to the Mashujaa Day celebrations scheduled for October 20 in Eldoret, which is hosting this year’s national fete.

According to the Fund, the showcase provides an opportunity for stakeholders, tourism industry players, students and members of the public to learn about its mandate and contribution to the growth and sustainability of the country’s tourism sector.

The Fund has encouraged visitors to tour its exhibition stand and engage with its representatives on its programmes and initiatives aimed at strengthening the tourism and hospitality industry.

“Together, let us celebrate the heroes who inspire us and continue building a vibrant, inclusive and sustainable tourism industry for generations to come,” the Fund said in a statement.

The Thematic Week brings together government agencies, educational institutions and private sector players to showcase their programmes and contributions to national development ahead of the October 20 celebrations.
