Ex-Defence and Security Chiefs Meet President Hichilema

President Hakainde Hichilema this afternoon met former defence and security chiefs at State House.

The President noted that retirement is simply a change of station, emphasizing that the love for Zambia among former service leaders remains unwavering. He praised them as distinguished figures with a priceless reservoir of wisdom, experience, and institutional memory.

“Their contribution to safeguarding our peace, security, and democracy is unmatched. We remain committed to drawing on their counsel as we strengthen our nation,” President Hichilema said.

He further reaffirmed government’s commitment to improving the welfare of veterans, acknowledging their sacrifices in building the Zambia cherished today.
