LESOTHO PARTICIPATED IN THE 79TH WORLD HEALTH ASSEMBLY [WHA79]
The Kingdom of Lesotho participated in the 79th World Health Assembly, joining global leaders, health experts, and development partners in shaping the future of global health in Geneva, Switzerland.
The Minister of Health, Honourable ‘Mamokete Nts’ekhe Led Lesotho delegation to participate so that Lesotho’s commitment to strengthening healthcare systems, promoting equitable access to health services and advancing the well-being of all Basotho is reflected.
Held under the banner of collective global action, WHA79 provides an important platform for countries to engage on critical health priorities including universal health coverage, pandemic preparedness, maternal and child health, mental health, and sustainable healthcare financing.
“Health is a right, not a privilege.”
This guiding principle continues to inspire Lesotho’s efforts to advocate for a healthier and inclusive future for all Basotho.
The delegation’s presence at the World Health Assembly reaffirms Lesotho’s dedication to international cooperation and partnerships that support resilient health systems and improved health outcomes across the nation.
