OPM staff receive Financial literacy training

KAMPALA
Staff of the Office of the Prime Minister (OPM) have undergone financial literacy training. Organised by the Ministry, the training was conducted by Pearl Bank at OPM last week.
Experts from Pearl Bank — Frank Kaggwa, Abdul Azizi, and Yunus Mugula — shared knowledge with
Ms. Patricia Lakidi, the OPM Undersecretary for Finance and Administration speaking during the Financial Literacy training
staff on building and sustaining wealth, developing savings habits, utilising savings and credit organisations as instruments of wealth creation, and exploring existing investment opportunities in the financial markets and beyond.
During the training, the OPM Undersecretary for Finance and Administration, Ms. Patricia Lakidi,
encouraged staff to actively seek financial literacy knowledge.

She urged staff to take advantage of the knowledge shared during the training to create wealth and prepare for life after employment.
The Assistant Commissioner for Human Resource Management in OPM, Mr. James Sanya, urged staff to apply the knowledge acquired to make informed financial decisions to reduce financial-related stress.
He also encouraged participants to share the knowledge gained with their families and communities in order to promote a culture of responsible financial management.
