President Hichilema Interacts with Chambishi Residents

President Hakainde Hichilema today held a community engagement meeting with residents of Chambishi district at Twalubuka Grounds, assuring them that government is seeking the right investor to revitalise Chambishi Metals.

The Head of State said government is determined to revive industry in the district, as has been done in other parts of the Copperbelt Province. He noted that the creation of Chambishi Constituency under the UPND New Dawn administration was a demonstration of care for the people, adding that government remains committed to delivering development.

“We are here to work for you. We will continue to deliver because we love you,” President Hichilema said. He further urged residents to turn out in numbers on 13th August and vote for the UPND Government to ensure the continuation of free education and other sound policies.

UPND Copperbelt Chairperson welcomed the creation of Chambishi Constituency, saying it would facilitate development through the Constituency Development Fund. He also praised President Hichilema’s leadership, which has seen the revitalisation of many industries across the Copperbelt and beyond.
