World Refugee Day: Uganda calls for increased support for Refugee Response

Uganda has reaffirmed its commitment to protecting refugees but called upon the international community to increase support for the Country’s Refugee response.

In a joint statement issued by the Government of Uganda and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Uganda on World Refugee Day 2026, the Minister for Relief, Disaster Preparedness and Refugees, Hon.
