The Rt. Hon. Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja has presented the end-of-term 2021–2026 NRM manifesto implementation report to the party’s Secretary General (SG), Rt. Hon. Richard Todwong.
During the report handover event held in the conference hall of the Office of the President on 21 April in Kampala, the Premier said the NRM will have implemented 87% of its manifesto commitments by the end of this term next month.
The report shows that, of the 809 manifesto commitments, 434, representing 54%, have been fully delivered, while 264, or 33%, are currently under implementation.

However, it also indicates that the remaining 110 commitments, accounting for 13%, are yet to be implemented. The commitments that have been fully implemented and those still under implementation constitute 87%.
“Over the last five years, we have registered remarkable success across various areas, including expanding the size of the economy, job creation, industrialisation, monetising the economy, wealth creation, oil and gas, health, water, and education, among others,” PM Nabbanja said.
Going forward, she explained that the Government will focus on mobilising resources to finalise key road, energy, tourism, and ICT infrastructure projects; reducing the cost of doing business by lowering the cost of internet, transport, and electricity; fighting all forms of corruption; and lifting the remaining 30% of households from subsistence into the money economy.
Other priority areas, according to the Premier, include improving land management to support structured growth and development, and adding value to agricultural products and minerals before exportation.
“I once again salute all Ugandans who overwhelmingly voted for H.E. President Yoweri Museveni and NRM flag-bearers at all levels in the recent general elections to protect gains in peace, security, education, healthcare, industrialisation, energy, transport infrastructure, and wealth creation, among others,” she added.
Mr Todwong emphasised the importance of sustained investment in human capital, tourism, science, and technology as critical drivers of long-term national development.
“Government reaffirms its dedication to the service of the people of Uganda, guided by the principles of accountability, development, and national unity,” he added.
